At the beginning, you mentioned the old water trough for the horses and then pan out to show a building with steps leading up to the entrance on what appears to be the second floor. This was the old blacksmiths cottage in the village. My parents owned it for a few years in the early 80s. You're right. The derelict barns opposite belonged to Sam. On the top corner used to be the barn for shooting on the moors.

Think this is the second of your videos I've stumbled on, first was your walk near Bampton when you parked at Burn Banks. Again your simple directions have tempted me to take a stroll. I'm often in the Stag at Dufton but rarely think of going for a walk, similarly down at the Mardale in Bampton. As a local I rarely think to walk the areas close to me, I just sit in the pub. Great video, but the "snipe" that's a Curlew. Snipe has a straight beak and about the size of a starling. 👍

.Milldale is in Staffordshire as is the west side of Dovedale ,the river being the border between the two counties.

nice but being brought up amongst such folk not a million miles from there , I can't accept upper teesdale as being in the yorkshire dales !

Such a beautiful place. Spotless clean. The meadow is beautiful. Should be more of those everywhere. I never knew the Yorkshire Dales were so beautiful and interesting. Those meadows. Wow.

Thank you. Brilliant place. If you get the chance, do visit the creamery. You can taste the cheese before you buy. When I last visited they had about 20 or 30 different flavours. Well worth a visit. I also hope they do reopen the railway station.

hi i lived in grange in the 60s and 70s i also worked there in late 80s at a garage must do a road trip bk up to my old stomping ground and take my dji friend lol also when i was a kid and even up until the late 80s there was no sea grass it was all rocks and sand up to the prom i see the bandstand years ago it had glass windows i shot a lot of them out with a catapult boy did i get into trouble

Ironbridge what a wonderful location and the bridge has such significance, symbolic of our history. Liked your guided walking route, just enough commentary to provide historical facts and show the truly beautiful surrounding countryside.

Thank you for sharing. I have walked in this area (my favourite place) many times. The walk up to Booze is a challenge but worth it for the views when you get there. I can’t wait to get back there!

I’m surprised he didn’t pass by the Dawkins memorial fountain, next to the bus stop, in Over Norton. It’s quite spectacular.

I think we were all meant to meet Hannah to teach a greedy materialistic generation that happiness can be found in nature and by living a simple life. She was so humble that she didn’t realise the effect she would have on the public. I loved her. RIP you wonderful lady of the fells

Sadly in the time since this was shot nearly all the business's shown have closed . Woodyard , mill ,Post Office and pubs all gone.

You aren't actually supposed to use the road with the bridge, as that is private access to the farm. The correct path to use is the one adjacent to the wall, which brings you out back opposite the car park next to the abandoned wooden house.

I lived in all those villages over several decades, and raised my children there. I now live in the Caribbean, but I really enjoyed that walk through my past. Thank you.

I grew up here when I was little, stationed at Menwith Hill. Same time period too, from 2007-2010. Amazing to see some fleeting memories from when I was a toddler in video. Thank you!
